I’m super excited to share this post. Before I break down the numbers, I have to share about tonight’s weigh-in. This last week I’ve eaten the worst and worked out the least. I was REALLY hoping for at least a 0.8 loss to hit 15 pounds in January. But in all honesty I was actually thinking I had probably gained.

i’ve been in a funk for the last few days. it sucks. i’m not talking like deep depression funk. just feeling sort of blah…..feeling negative about lots of things….not really giving a crap about other things.

to say that work has been stressing me out lately is an understatement.
good news: even though i have wanted to eat fast food and other junk and not workout, i haven’t given into the temptation. i’m on day 25 of this healthy lifestyle and going strong.
now, if work could just get better life would be pretty peachy.

today was a MUCH better day workwise.
i was SOOOO looking forward to my workout today after taking yesterday off. i did turbo jam after school (40ish minutes) with some other teachers. When I got home and did my dailies and c25k week 4 day 2. i CANNOT believe how much i enjoy running/jogging! i’m hooked :)
food-wise i did good today. right on target points-wise.

well, i didn’t lose 3.6 pounds…..i lost 5.2!!!!!!
i can’t believe it! in two weeks that’s 11.6 pounds. i’m so excited. my original short-term goal was to lose 10 pounds in january. another goal met!

tonight i have my 2nd weigh in at ww! this morning showed me an even more promising number on the scale than yesterday morning. i would LOVE to have lost 3.6 over this past week because that would be a total of 10 pounds in 2 weeks! but, if that’s not what the scale shows, there’s always next week :)
i’ve got my workout in. c25k week 4 day 1 pushed me pretty hard….but...

So, being the the emotional eater that I am (however hard I try not to be) I reached for a sugar free chocolate chip cookie before heading back to work from lunch.
Nothing that would have broken the calorie bank or put me into a sugar coma, but still an emotional outlet.

no excuses
i could have found several excuses not to work out tonight. the big one being time. in my free time i occasionally frequently babysit and/or housesit for a couple different families i met when i worked at a child development center (aka day care) during college and during my summers off. tonight i was am watching two girls who are just super sweet!

i really don’t know why i’m so disappointed with this, but i am. if my calculations from yesterday about how many laps in my apt it would take to run a mile are right (hell, even close) i ran/walked a mile in 19 min.
19 frickin minutes. that means i freaking WALK faster than a run.
okay, now some things to take into consideration before you nominate me for “slowest runner...

I was sooooo glad ww wasn’t cancelled tonight because it was my first weigh in.
And…….drumroll please……….in my first week I lost:
6.4 pounds!!!!
I am so super pumped right now! My January goal of losing 10 pounds is well within reach!!!
Not 2 full weeks ago I weighed 272 (on my home scale). Good bye 270s……i won’t be seeing you again...
