Eeek! Trek up the Tower is in 13 days!
Yay! Trek up the Tower is in 13 days!
The past couple of times I’ve been on the stair machine it has kicked my butt. I KNOW once I get past the first 5-10 minutes it somehow gets easier….but it’s getting past those first few minutes that’s been giving me trouble. Yesterday my legs just feel so heavy - like lead. They didn’t cramp up on me, but if felt like they would if I keep going….so I’ve been quitting before my “workout” is supposed to be done :(
So…..13 days until the big day!!! I’ve been training for the Trek for a while, but here’s my plan for the next 2 weeks: run and walk on the treadmill at various inclines, kick the stair machine’s butt, beg Mother Nature for some nice days to get outside and do some real stair work :)
Trekkers - How will YOU use the next 2 weeks to prepare?

I did one of these once with no prep. I can’t tell you wholeheartedly that that is a bad idea. Also, indoor training is the best simulation bc the air in the staircase is tough. Can you find a tall office building to practice?
