Lindsay Does Life
note to self

dear future lindsay,

please remember how unsexy and unpretty you feel right now.  you just completed a whole week of less-than-great eating (could have been worse, could have been a whole helluva lot better) and few workouts.  you decided it would be a great idea to go to victoria’s secret to try on some new bras because you’re likely a different size than you were this summer.

standing in front of that mirror…..you noticed all of your physical flaws.  your loose skin….your stretch marks….your less-than-perfect boobs.  you decided to choose a dairy queen blizzard as your medicine to “feel better.”  and then get ready to go see that certain guy feeling this way (unpretty/unsexy).  yeah, not fun.  remember this shitty feeling.

you have worked too damn hard and too damn long to go back to your old habits of snacking on candy while traveling, going back for seconds even when you’re not hungry, not working out, and so on.

it’s not about the number on the scale.  it’s about feeling squishy in places that used to be not-so-squishy.  it’s about feeling confident and secure in (or out of) my clothes.  it’s about feeling pretty….and sexy….and beautiful and strong and healthy.

you’re on the verge of tears right now.  but woman the F up and stop feeling sorry for yourself and how you feel right now.  address the problem, figure out what you can do to fix it, and take action (name it, claim it, tame it).  tomorrow is a new day.  stop being stupid with your lifestyle choices.

love,

me
